Stewart D. Boston, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home. He was born May 8, 1949 in Hays, Kansas, the son of Douglas and Marjorie (Means) Boston.
Stewart graduated from Highland Park High School in 1967. He was a Nuclear Machinist Mate, First Class Petty Officer serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Oklahoma City University. Stewart was employed by Wolf Creek Energy Center as a Quality Control Manager. He was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church.
Stewart married Patsy McDonald in 1974. They later divorced. He married Carole Evans on March 28, 1981. They divorced. Survivors include two children, Jonathan Boston of Topeka and Sarah Boston of Kansas City, Missouri three grandchildren, Sieria, Paris and AlecKye and his mother, Marjorie Boston of Topeka and his siblings, Kathleen Boston McCune of Kansas City, Kansas, David Boston of West Memphis, Arkansas, Daniel Boston of Atlanta, Georgia, Melanie Boston of Lawrence, Kansas and Patricia Boston of Topeka.
Stewart was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Boston on June 30, 2001 and his niece, Laura Boston in 1997.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Graveside committal services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 SE Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh, Kansas 66542.
