Sue Goodell

Sue Goodell, 81, Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Homestead Assisted Living. She was born March 6, 1931, in Topeka, the daughter of Marvin and Dorothy Goodwin Trueblood. She was a 1949 graduate of Topeka High School and attended Washburn University.

Sue was a member of Chapter DV – P.E.O., Delta Gamma sorority, and Topeka Jazz Workshop. She was also a life-long member of Central Congregational Church. On June 12, 1954, in Topeka, Sue married Gerald "Jerry" Goodell. He survives. Other survivors include son, David Goodell, of Columbia, SC; daughter, Amy Snyder, of Sun Prairie, WI; sister, Sally Durflinger, of Lake Kiowa, TX; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Goodell was cremated. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka, KS 66604. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
