Susan Jane Henry

Susan Jane Henry, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born September 7, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of L. Ben and Eva Mary (Bohannon) Kropp.
Susan graduated from Barron Wisconsin Senior High School. She was an Army Veteran serving as a nurse during the Viet Nam War. She earned her BS of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She was employed by the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center for 50 years before retiring in 2017.
Susan married Robert Henry in 1971. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffery Hedrick in 2015 and her sister, Elizabeth Wright in 2007.
Survivors include two children, Keith (Nichole) Henry of Topeka, Lauren Henry of Topeka, two grandsons, Kaden and Jaxon, and her siblings, Leonard (Wanda) Kropp of Georgetown, Texas and Carol Kropp of Richfield, Minnesota.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Inurnment will follow in East View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Lauren S. Henry to assist with funeral expenses.
