Suzan Paulette Lewis

Suzan Paulette (Abmeyer) Lewis, 44, of Topeka, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 24, 2024.
She was born May 10, 1979, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of James Lee and Cheryl Lynn (Chandler) Abmeyer. She was a 1998 graduate of Highland Park High School.
Suzan was employed by the State of Kansas in various positions and most recently as a Vendor Manager for W.I.C. throughout the state of Kansas.
She was a former youth leader for Fellowship Bible Church and Grace Community Church.
Survivors include her three sons, L'Vante Wallace of Topeka, Ethan Lewis and his significant other, Paige Zwiener, of Manhattan, KS, and Conner Lewis of Lawrence, KS; her mother, Cheryl Abmeyer of Topeka; her long time significant other, Matthew Lewis of Topeka; her sister, Kellie Abmeyer of Topeka; her brothers including Tony Filbert of Topeka; a host of many extended family and friends including her best friend, Erica Kilgore of Topeka and her family.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother; her aunt, Glennis Cochran; and her grandparents.
Suzan was a dedicated worker who deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed being a soccer mom, music, singing, photography and painting. She was an active community leader and volunteered for the Band Department at Washburn Rural High School. Most recently she volunteered as a "Buddy" for Night to Shine with Grace Community Church.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS, where a service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with continued fellowship following the ceremony until 1:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the ceremony.
