Sylvia J. McGinnis, 75, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.
She was born October 2, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Sylvester and Ruth (Wagner) Domme. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1964.
Sylvia married Charles McGinnis on October 23, 1964 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Wulfkuhle (David) of Lecompton; grandchildren Macy Scott (Jarrod) of Pomona, Kansas, Jason Wulfkuhle (Sarah) of Lecompton, Kansas, and Ocean McGinnis of Topeka; six great-grandchildren; her companion Ron McClain of Topeka; siblings Debbie Peet of Topeka, Tom Domme of Topeka and Dr. Sylvester Domme Jr. of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and son Kevin L. McGinnis.
A private graveside service will be held at a future date at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Topeka, 3625 SW 29th Street, Suite 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
