Sylvia (Yockers) Schrader

Sylvia Ann (Yockers) Schrader, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born March 4, 1924 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Julia Petrauskas.
Sylvia resided in Chicago for 27 years before moving to Topeka in 1951. She was a member of Mater Dei Parish.
Sylvia married Herbert Yockers on December 2, 1945 in Chicago. He preceded her in death December 15, 1973. She later married Lloyd Schrader on June 20, 1988 in Topeka. He preceded her in death July 30, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Yockers on June 28, 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis John Yockers and Howard Paul Yockers and his wife Sharon, three grandchildren, Dennison Yockers, Amy Mitchel and her husband Joe and Jennifer Bixel and her husband Levi and three great-grandchildren, Tucker & Lucas Mitchel and Brayden Bixel.
A prayer service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 16 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mater Dei Parish, 1114 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS, 66604.
