Tara Sue French, 60, Topeka, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016.
Tara was born December 14, 1955 in Topeka, the daughter of Mary and Loyd Nicewander.
She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1973. She attended Washburn University and graduated from Stormont-Vail School of Nursing in 1976.
She was currently employed as a Registered Nurse at Gensler Eye Center and previously worked as a surgical nurse at Stormont-Vail Health Center for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She also worked part time at The Buckle.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Jobs Daughters, Bethel #1.
Tara married Rodney French on July 2, 1977 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include daughters, Jennifer Burdick, Edgerton, Jolene French, Topeka; grandchildren, Devin, Dakota, Reaghan, Landon, Tatum; sisters, Debra Kaad, Jan (Mark) Goforth, all of Topeka, Elizabeth (Steven) Beaumont, Silsbee, TX; and brother, David (Laura) Fluke, Chesterfield, MI.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 600 SW Topeka Blvd. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
