Thelma Loughmiller, 102, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at her residence. She was born on July 22, 1902 in Marysville, the daughter of Otto F. and Nellie Secor Thiessen. She moved to Topeka in 1993. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for an interior decorating company and for an art class at the Houston Museum of Arts. She married Paul H. Loughmiller on June 16, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1990. Survivors include one daughter, July O. Hackerott of Topeka, four grandchildren, Lorraine Davis of Tyler, Texas, Nashalla Roberts of Topeka, Paul Needham of Copperas Cove, Texas, Raylin Evenson of Pretty Prairie, Ks., eight great-grandchildren, Shawn Maisberger of Topeka, Travis Sherwood of Houston, Tina Evenson of Goddard, Chris Henderson of Olathe, Jennifer, Rayanne, Paul, Jr. and Matthew Needham of Copperas Cove, Texas, eight great-great grandchildren, Jorden and Keaton Henderson of Olathe, Lauren and Freddy Maisberger of Topeka, Trey and Justin Needham of Copperas Cove, Texas and Savanna and Dakota Polm of Copperas Cove, Texas. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Don Evenson and one great-grandson, Clifford Henderson, IV. Cremation took place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Houston, Texas.
