Thelma R. Owens, 92, Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Presbyterian Manor.
Thelma was born December 6, 1926 in Topeka, the daughter of Elmer and Thelma (Smith) Ramsour. She graduated from Topeka High School.
She was employed by the State of Kansas, Department of Education for 10 years.
Thelma married Wayne Jones on July 3, 1947 in Topeka. He died December 19, 1979. She married John C. Owens on June 9, 1980 and he died September 1, 1996. Survivors include son, Dennis (Cathy) Jones, Topeka; grandchildren, Lara Rivera and Norah Gilbert. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharie Jones; and son, David Jones.
Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Dove Southwest Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
