Thomas Ard

Thomas "Tom" Ard, 45, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. He was born in Portland, OR on August 30, 1962, the son of Bill and the late Theresa (Smith) Ard, and the step-son of Bev Ard.

Tom married Tamera Anderson on March 10, 1989. She survives. Other survivors include his children: Nathan (Brandy), Ryan (Rebecca) and Megan Ard; two grandchildren and one on the way; four brothers, two sisters, six sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, three grandmothers, three uncles, two aunts, 20 nieces and nephews; and his mother-and father-in-law.

Tom was employed by Reser's Fine Foods for over 24 years. Tom and Tamera transferred to Topeka in 1994. Tom was an avid water skier, he enjoyed playing softball, and he loved his John Deere tractor. He was our Super Man.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, May 27 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Drive, Topeka, 66604.
