Thomas Charles Hanlon, 63, of Topeka, Kansas passed away March 10, 2016. He was born on July 24th, 1952, to George William (Bill) and Betty Hanlon at Independence, Kansas. He was raised in Independence where he played basketball for the Independence High School Bulldogs. He graduated from Independence High School and Emporia State University with a degree in Communication. Thomas served his country in the United States Navy. He was a salesman and retired from Mass Merchandisers/McKesson.
Thomas was an avid fisherman and fished crappie tournaments all over Kansas. He was a loyal sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, KU sports, and the KC Royals. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Ali Hanlon; son, Mathew Hanlon; mother, Betty Hanlon; brother, Joe (Maria) Hanlon; sister, Linda (Gary) Martin; grandchildren: Noah Garvey and Sydney Haag; and his nieces: Jennifer, Jessica, and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill.
