Thomas E. Galardi
November 15, 1927 — November 17, 2015
Thomas Edward Galardi, 88, Harveyville, KS, formerly of Papillion, NE, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
He was born November 15, 1927, in New York City, the son of Michael and Agnes (Birmingham) Galardi.
He graduated from Fordham University with a bachelor's of arts degree in Accounting. He served in the Army during Korean War where he was stationed in Germany.
Thomas was head of direct mail fundraising at Columban Fathers in Bellevue, NE and later served as director of direct mail fundraising at Fr. Flanagan's Boystown in Boystown, NE.
On August 31, 1957 he married Erna C. Poethig, she survives. Other survivors include six sons, Matthew Galardi, Gregory (Marcia Ann) Galardi, Joseph Galardi, Christopher Galardi, Luke (Marcia) Galardi and Jonathan Galardi; one daughter, Mara (Robert) Reyna and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Galardi.
Thomas enjoyed organic gardening and watching the New York Giants and New England Patriots. He also loved spending time with his grandkids.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with rosary to be prayed at 11:30 am, followed by funeral service at 12:00 noon, Friday, November 20, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KS. Interment with military honors will follow at Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, KS.
