Thomas J.Cripe, 64, Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at a local hospital.
Tom was born September 28, 1949 in Delphi, IN, the son of Evelyn Cripe. He graduated from Delphi High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was employed as an owner/ manager at several service stations in Topeka, retiring in 2005.
He was an avid bowler, hunter, fisherman and loved to play cards.
Tom married Linda Seele on June 23, 1979 in Belvue, KS. She survives. Other survivors include son, Jared (Amy) Cripe, Topeka; granddaughter, Adelynn Cripe; mother, Evelyn Cripe ; brothers, Jerry Cripe, Bud Cripe, Ron Cripe; sisters, Nancy Randle, Sandra Boling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Tom will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
