Thomas L. Cain, 54, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Midland Hospice House.
He was born June 19, 1958 in Topeka, the son of Robert V. and Beverly A. Craft Cain.
Tom graduated from Highland Park High School in 1976. He was employed by Lower Heating and Air Conditioning for several years. He then went to work for the Santa Fe Railway for fifteen years and returned to Lower's for twenty years. Tom served on the Mechanical Board for the City of Topeka. He served as a soccer and baseball coach for his children's teams.
Tom married Lynn Lewellen on November 23, 2010 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two children, Rylee Cain and Ryan Cain both of Topeka, his parents, Robert and Beverly Cain of Topeka, one brother, Harry Cain of Leavenworth, one nephew, Preston Cain of Leavenworth and his bird dog, Casee.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606 or Shriner's Hospitals for Children c/o Arab Shrine, 1305 S.
