He grew up in Tecumseh and graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1963. He was a distinquished veteran of the U.S. Armed
Services. He was a truck driver for Fleming Foods in Topeka for over 30 years, and was a truck driver for ABF out of Kansas City for
the last nine years.
Mr. Martin was a member of American Legion Post No.1 in Topeka; a member of the Teamsters union; former president of SCABA in
Topeka, and was the coach of the Pistols Little League baseball team for 10 years. He was instrumental in developing the Instructional
League for 5 and 6 year olds at SCABA.
