Timothy E. Boster, II, 35, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was born August 12, 1975 in Topeka, the son of Timothy E. and Kay A. Roberts Boster. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1993 and attended Washburn University and Allen County Community College.
Tim was a member of the Army Reserves for six years. He graduated from the Topeka Police Academy in August 2001. He was employed by U.S.D. 501 as a Campus Police Officer. Tim served as a police officer in Ottawa. He was then employed as a corrections officer in Topeka from 2002 until 2005. He then was employed as an apprentice electrician for Veco Corporation in Alaska from 2005 until 2007. Tim moved back to Topeka and was employed as a journeyman lineman for Black & McDonald of Missouri. He was an active member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 304.
Tim married Amy M. Armstrong on April 29, 1996 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Timothy, Ethan and Andrew, his parents, Timothy Boster and Kay Boster of Topeka, his paternal grandmother, Mildred Boster of Berryton, and his two sisters, Angel (Jerry) Boster Brock of Auburn and Beth Boster of Topeka.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery. Tim will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Boster Children's Educational Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
