Tisharria M. Huggins -Wright
Tisharria Michale Huggins-Wright, 29, passed away on Monday, February 14. 2011 as a result of injuries related to an automobile accident near Pittsburg.
Tisharria was born December 14, 1981 in Topeka, the daughter of Darryl Huggins and Sharon N. Huggins-Keeling. She was the oldest of three siblings. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 2000 and Wichita State University in 2004.
She was currently a graduate student at Pittsburg State University and was on the women's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant. She was a member of Indiana Avenue Church of Christ.
Tisharria married Reis William Wright on January 22, 2011. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Sharon Jackson-Keeling, Topeka; father, Darryl Huggins Sr., Wichita; step-father, Rodney Keeling, Topeka; brother, Darryl Huggins II, and sister, Kirah Keeling, both of Topeka; a grandmother, Topeka; aunts, Billie Thurmond, Tammy Jackson, and Tracee Jackson-Maye, all of Topeka. She is further survived by great-aunts and uncles; mother and father-in law, Rex and Sherry Wright; sister in-law, Alexa Wright; cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley V. Jackson; and grandfather, Billy G. Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Central Church of Christ, 1250 SW College Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow at the Topeka Cemetery. Tisharria will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tisharria Huggins Wright Memorial Fund, c/o Capital City Bank, 3710 S Topeka Blvd., Topeka, KS 66609.
