Tonya Mitchell

Tonya D. Mitchell, 36, Topeka, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. She was born Apr. 25, 1968 in Topeka the daughter of Terry D and Pamela D Holm Earl. Tonya graduated form Silver Lake High School. She attended Highland Community College and Washburn University. She worked as a para professional for the Shawnee Heights School District. Tonya attended Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ellen Lorraine Earl Jan. 5, 2001. Tonya is survived by a son, Christopher Mitchell, Topeka; parents Terry and Pamela Earl, Silver Lake; 2 brothers, Anthony Earl, Sand Springs, OK; Sean Earl, Los Angeles, CA; grandfather Chester G. Earl, Silver Lake; grandmother and step grandfather, Joyce N. and Max Balcerowicz, Texas City, TX; and fiancé Lloyd Baker, Topeka. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Tonya will lie in state after 12:00 p.m. noon Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent in memory of Tonya Mitchell in care of Commerce Bank and Trust 3035 S.
