Trenton Avery Brooks

July 18, 1997 — February 9, 2015

Trenton Avery Brooks, 17, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

He was born July 18, 1997 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of George James and Jennifer Anne (Manley) Brooks III. He attended schools in USD 437 School District and was a senior at Washburn Rural High School where he played bass guitar in Jazz Band. He also played in various local bands in Topeka. He played XBOX Live with numerous online friends nationwide.

As a young boy Trenton loved anything involving Thomas The Tank Engine, he enjoyed riding on the lawn mower with Grandpa, doing fun things with Grandma, playing legos with friends, watching big machines like dump trucks and backhoes. He loved spending time with his little brother Connor.

As he grew a little bigger he enjoyed skate boarding, Monster trucks, Battle Bots, playing with family and friends, trips to the park, and the zoo, and riding the train. He liked dressing up as a fireman and playing with his big fire truck. His affinity for legos grew. Playing video games with his brother and friends was always a fun time.

Trenton and his friends decided to form a band so he began bass lessons. Once he picked up the bass he could not put it down. Their band 'Everyday Incident' played their first gig at Washburn Rural Middle school on talent day. Later, as a Freshman in high school he joined the Jazz Band and thoroughly enjoyed playing music and being with friends. He played with the Jazz Band up to his senior year.

He became an avid game player and had many good friends nationwide on Xbox Live. His love of legos continued… His family has very fond memories of their recent vacation to Florida where they spent a day at Lego Land.

Trenton was a caring big brother. He like to spend time with his sister, Kelsey, watching funny YouTube videos and Vines. He enjoyed hanging out and playing airsoft with his brother Connor. He always had fun hanging out with his step sister Kyrsten. He was so sweet and attentive to his littlest brother Mark who is 12 weeks old.

After high school he had planned to seek further education and a career in the field of technical drafting.
