Trever Antwan Harness, 21, passed away Friday, July 14, 2006 in Topeka. He was born February 5, 1985 in Topeka, the son of John K. Perkins and Tonie R. Harness. He grew up in Topeka, graduating from Highland Park High School, where he was actively involved in sports. He had attended Independence Community College, and was preparing to attend Washburn University. He loved sports of all kinds, but especially loved basketball, and played in city leagues. He enjoyed music and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Trever Antwan is survived by his parents; sister and brother: Telia and Brian Harness; grandmother, Mildred Banks; nieces, Temera, Reggie,and Lebrey McKinneys; nephew, Brian Harness II, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Verna Harness, and his uncle, Raymond Sanders. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2006 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 531 SE 31st Terr, with burial to follow at Topeka Cemetery. Trever Antwan will lie in state after 5 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, where the family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Trever Antwan Harness Memorial Fund, in care of Kansas Super Chief Credit Union, 2120 SW Belle, Topeka, KS 66614.
