Trisha L. “Trish” Butterfield-Slater, 54, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at a Topeka hospital. She was born July 22, 1970 in Emporia, the daughter of Jay G. and Diann L. (Lane) Butterfield.
Trisha graduated from Topeka West High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business from Allen County Community College. She was employed by R.E.O. Custom Cabinets and Counter Tops. She was also a Nail Technician.
Trisha married Kenneth “Kenny” Slater on May 3, 2003 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include one step-son, Travis Slater of Homestead, Florida, her parents, Diann L. (Sanford) Shull of Topeka, Jay G. Butterfield of Harveyville, Kansas, siblings, Michael S. (Gail) Butterfield of Topeka, Autumn Hill of Stockton, California, Amber Tincher of Burlingame, Kansas, her niece, Shelby Butterfield and nephew, Lane Butterfield.
A Celebration of Trisha's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
