Truman Forshee, Jr.

Truman J. "TJ" Forshee Jr. of Topeka went home to the Lord on July 28, 2007. He was born on July 22, 1935 in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas to Truman and Lola Forshee. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. After retirement "TJ" spent timeless hours helping others work on their vehicles in his signature coveralls. This was his service to the Lord. He was married to Bonnie Lou Whitcomb on August 6, 1955 in Topeka, she survives. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons Douglas (Marybeth) Forshee, Darrell (Shirley) Forshee, Dennis Forshee, Darren (Gloria) Forshee, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Elenora Lambert, Carl Forshee, Eva Mae King, Gary Forshee, Larry Forshee and Vivian Ribordy.

"TJ" will lie in state after 1:00 pm Tuesday July 31, at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, August 1st at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
