Tsuyako Ohara Harrop
Tsuyako Ohara Harrop, 91, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, AZ. She was born November 29, 1919 in Nagoya, Japan to Tomekichi and Kaneyo Ohara.
She married Edwin Ross Harrop on January 20, 1954 in Nagoya, Japan. They were married for 57 years and were members of the Desert Christian Fellowship Church in Phoenix. Ed survives. Other survivors include her children; Susan I. (Timothy) Pickering of Phoenix, George K. (Ruby) Sakai of Topeka and Reiko Hayashi of Nagoya, Japan, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Tsuyako will be missed by all of us.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery SE 89th and Ratner Road.
