Tya D. Richardson, 40, Topeka, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 14, 2015.
She was born November 11, 1974, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Robert "Rico" and Deborah (Rayford) Richardson, Jr.
She had previously worked for the United States Government and the State of Kansas leaving in 2011 due to disabilities.
Survivors include her children, Brianique Collins and Brian Collins, II; her mother; siblings, Rahneisha Richardson, Abdul-Rahmaan Saleem, II, Bryant Barton, all of Topeka and Atiya Barton Jackson, Dallas, TX; grandfather, Robert Richardson, Chicago, IL and the father of her children, Brian Collins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rico Richardson, her father, maternal grandmothers, Sadie Bias Richardson and Juanita Jones and paternal grandfather, Charles Rayford.
Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by funeral services at 12 noon, Sunday, April 26 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private interment will be at Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
