Velma Lorraine Coffee, 86, of Carbondale, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. She was born May 2, 1927, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford and Virgie (Lyon) Young.
Velma married Harry Coffee on April 29, 1950 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1991. Survivors include her daughters, Laura Goldsmith (Michael), Topeka, Wanda Woodman (Roger), Carbondale; son, Thomas Coffee (Barbara), Topeka; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harry.
Velma enjoyed quilting and crafts.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19th, at Penwell Gabel Cemetery in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
