Vera Myrtle Graber, 97, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at a Topeka retirement community. She was born on July 7, 1913 in Harvey County near Moundridge, the daughter of Andrew H. and Edna P. Westerman Davis.
She graduated from Moundridge High School in 1930. She married Orval J. Graber on October 31, 1937. He preceded her in death in 2009. In 1959 the family moved to Topeka and in 1962, Vera went to work for the Menninger Foundation as a Licensed Mental Health Technician until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Vaughn R. Graber of Silver Lake, one daughter, Beverly J. Salsbury of Topeka, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded by 5 brothers, Buford, Glen, Russell, Floyd and Jack; three sisters, Neva Klinkerman, Oma Mae Graber, and Verla Dee Davis.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service. Private inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
