Vera Ellen Patterson

Vera Ellen Patterson, 73, of Topeka, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022.

She was born August 28, 1949, in Cameron, New York, the daughter of Walter and Frances (Quick) Patterson. She graduated from Haverling Central High School in Bath, New York.

Vera was employed by WalMart for 14 years.

Survivors include her children, Gregory T. LaForge and Kassandra Nichols, both of Topeka, Michelle LaForge of Wayland, New York and Elicia Nichols of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Samantha, Melissa, Chloe, and Abigail; great-grandchildren Liam, Sophia and Richard (to be continued…); her cats Toby and Harley; and family friend Tim. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; several siblings; and family friend Jeff.

Vera enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Vera was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th at the Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road in Topeka. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604-3720.
