Vesta Lorene Johnson, 84, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at a local hospital.
Vesta was born May 25, 1934 in Emporia, the daughter of Elmer and Opal (Phillips) Shaw.
Vesta married Richard Johnson on June 19, 1955 in Admire. He survives of the home. Other survivors include sons, Bruce L. (Susan) Johnson, Admire, Bryan A. (Monica) Johnson, Topeka; grandchildren, Bruce L. (Christine) Johnson, II, Nick (Michelle) Johnson, Elyse (Cole) Percival; and great-grandchildren, Gavin and Asher Johnson, and Zayne and Grant Percival.
She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 for both Richard and Vesta Johnson at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka.
A memorial service for both Richard and Vesta Johnson will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Lowman United Methodist Church, Topeka.
Private graveside services will be held at Phillips Cemetery, near Admire.
Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas, Topeka, KS 66608.
