Vicki L. Schiffelbein, 63, of Topeka, passed away August 14, 2013. She was born February 21, 1950 in Topeka to Chester and Betty (Perkins) Bailey. She grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1968.
Vicki married Paul A. Schiffelbein on October 11, 1969 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2005. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Vicki enjoyed sewing, spoiling grandbabies and going to the zoo and casinos.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Michelle Leach (John), Sara Viles (Toby), Chris Schiffelbein (Jack Travis), and Emily Schiffelbein; mother, Betty Bailey; sister, Martha Brewer (Jim); sister-in-law, Sandy Plankinton (Joseph); granddaughters, Paulette and Isabelle Viles, and Victoria and Abbigail Leach.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Schiffelbein; her father, Chester Bailey; and her parents-in-law, Albon and Josephine Schiffelbein.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00AM.
