Victor L. Passow, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. He was born on October 16, 1911 in Penn, North Dakota, the son of William F. and Ida Ebert Passow. He graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Oklahoma. He was a carpenter for Markowitz Builders in Emporia. He moved to Topeka in 1980. He was a job superintendent for BRB Contractors, Inc. where he retired in 1982. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He married Leola L. Smith on January 23, 1938 in Perry, Oklahoma. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Richard Passow of Topeka, one daughter, Joan Jackson and her husband, Montie Lee of Allen, Ks., five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one brother, James Passow in California. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Deborah Jackson on June 5, 1959 and one daughter-in-law, Kansa F. Passow on September 20, 2003. Cremation took place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
