In loving memory of our mother, Victoria "Tori" Louise Wickham-Karlin, 61, who passed away on August 30th, in Topeka, KS, after her long battle with cancer.
Tori, born on March 22nd, 1961 to two doting parents, Herb and Nancy Wickham. She was a bundle of joy from the beginning. Tori enjoyed pastimes such as her father's art, sports and trying to domesticate wild animals from an early age. As she grew into her teenage years, her focus shifted to friends and enjoying the moments God presented her with. After graduating from Jackson High School in 1979, Tori went on to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.
After graduation from SEMO State University, Tori relocated to Kansas, where she met Michael Karlin. The pair fell in love and later married in January of 1993. They went on to have two children: Nicole and Lauren. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Tori's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. Tori was kind, caring, and a giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Tori was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Nancy. She is survived by her brother, Brad (Lisa) Wickham, her two daughters, Lauren (Timothy) Reed, Nicole (Dylan) Parks and her two granddaughters, Kenna and Lainey Parks.
Mom, you are now at peace but you will forever be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much.
- Your girls, Nicole and Lauren
