Violet Hixon

Violet I. Hixon, 88, went to be with her Lord Sept. 3, 2009. She was born June 25, 1921 in Yates Center KS. to Bertha L. Price and Omer F. Hixon, one of eight children. She lived most of her life in and around the Topeka area. She attended North Rock Baptist Temple and East Side Baptist Church in Topeka. She loved to sew, bake cookies for her nieces and nephews, visit family, play bingo, play in the ocean, and she enjoyed flying. She is survived by a sister Ninabel Hauschild of AZ. (92), her niece Sandra Adams of AR. and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
