Virginia J. "Gina" Briggs, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at a Topeka hospital. She was born August 9, 1946 in Topeka, the daughter of Antonio and Hazel (Salinas) Garcia.
Gina was a God loving, God fearing woman and a member of Light of the World Christian Center. She volunteered at various religious and charitable organizations and was also a homemaker.
Gina married Robert John "Bob" Briggs on November 5, 1997 in Topeka. He survives, along with her children, Robert Munoz, David (Jacqueline) Munoz and Antonio Munoz, several grand-children and several great-grandchildren and her siblings, Tony Garcia, James Garcia and Andrew "Andy" Garcia.
Gina was preceded in death by three siblings, Lucy Vega, Raymond Garcia and Anita Castellon.
A Celebration of Gina's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2022 at Light of the World Christian Center. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Light of the World Christian Center, 3301 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Kansas 66614.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
