Virginia L. Klesath, 80, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014. She was born July 21, 1933, in Odessa, Missouri, the daughter of Leo and Viola (Wells) Underwood.
Virginia married Elmer H. Klesath on December 1, 1949 in Des Moines, IA. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1992.
Virginia worked for Seaman High School as a cook and at Topeka Presbyterian Manor in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Kaw Valley Community Club for a number of years, Northland Christian Church, and she was very active in crafts, hobbies, and oil painting.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Nancy Hannebaum (Darrell), Minneapolis, KS, Alice Peterson (Leonard), Marquette, KS, and Tracy Rowe (Randy) of Topeka, 6 grandchildren, Karen Peterson (Tanner), Keenan Hannebaum (Theresa), Amy McKee, Travis McKee (Amanda), Kyleigh Rowe, and Jordy Rowe; 9 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Haley Swanson, Kyara, Tessa, and TJ McKee, Austin Hannebaum, Keith Nitcher, And Veronica and Jayme Fails. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Elmer.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm., Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., in Topeka. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
