Vivian Alice&Quot;Mimi&Quot; Henson

Vivian Alice "Mimi" Henson, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born on October 14, 1913 in Talmage, KS, the daughter of Arthur E. and Jessie D. Trimble Wierman. She graduated from Lyndon High School and Strickler's Business College. She had resided in Topeka for over sixty years. Vivian was the office manager for Capital Iron Works. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Exemplar Chapter. Vivian married Orwin C. Henson on September 12, 1937 in Lyndon, KS. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille and Wilma. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanene Johnson of Topeka and Colene and Charles Butler of Bella Vista, AR, three grandchildren, Drs. Jason and Valerie Wells of Manhasset, NY, Dr. Stephanie and Mark Nielsen of San Juan Capistrano, CA, David and Heidi Butler of Boise, ID, five great-grandchildren and one brother, Dr. Dean Wierman of Bella Vista, AR. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Benevolent Care Fund at Brewster Place Foundation, 1205 S.W. 29th St., Topeka, KS 66611, Heart of America Hospice, 3715 S.W. 29th St., Topeka, KS 66614 or to the organization of the donor's choice.
