Vivian Daiprai

Vivian Irene Daiprai, 87, Topeka, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at a Topeka nursing home.

She was born Nov. 15, 1917 in Hannibel, Missouri, the daughter of Jessie and Mable Norris Clark. She was raised in Moberly, MO, lived in Independence, MO for about 20 years, and came to Topeka in 1977.

Mrs. Daiprai worked in a shoe factory during WW2.

She married Geno Daiprai on Nov. 10, 1933 in LaBelle, MO. He died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jesse Eugene "Tommy" Daiprai on Dec. 28, 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty J. Willis and a son, Larry Daiprai, both of Topeka, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
