Vivian Scofield, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Feb. 7, 2004 at her residence. She was born on Feb 27, 1922, in Lehigh, KS, the daughter of Jacob May and Anna Whitman May.
Lifetime resident of the Oakland neighborhood of Topeka. She was married to Nicholas R. (Scoop) Scofield. They later divorced. He preceded her in death.
she was employed by Adams Business Forms and later by the State of Kansas . She was a regular attendee at the East Topeka Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by : 1 Son, Nick; 2 Daughters: Linda Meredith and Debbie Rishel, all of Topeka. 5 Grandchildren; 8 Great-grandchildren; 1 Brother, Linden May; 3 Sisters: Evelyn Scott, Henrietta Gleason, , all of Topeka and Alvina Wettengel of Pace, Florida. She was preceded in death by 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb 12 at 10:30 am at Penwell Gabel Highland Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 9am to 10:30, time of service.
Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
