Wanda Lou Zirkle Beaty, 77, of Topeka, left this world on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her brother's home under Midland Hospice Care.
Wanda was born on November 3, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas to Everett and Dorothy (Devore) Zirkle. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1962.
Wanda was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and baking, pecan pies were a specialty to the family. She loved gardening and always looked forward to springtime with enthusiasm to plant a rainbow of annuals. She embraced being with family and made every holiday very special. Wanda found peace and happiness surrounded by those she loved and treasured on her last Thanksgiving. Wanda may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
Wanda married Mel Beaty on July 15, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bona Hamlin and brothers, James Zirkle and Emil (Ana) Zirkle.
Wanda is survived by her two sons Michael (Tina) Beaty and Brian (Tonya) Beaty, six grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Cheyenne, Zachary, Jesse and Shantell, a great-grandson Parker and her brother, Larry (Dixie) Zirkle.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
