Wanda Glenn, 91, Auburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Wanda married Wilbur Ray Glenn, both of Lyndon, on July 25, 1944 in San Diego, CA during World War II. They were married for 72 years.
Her children are, Larry (Sally) Glenn, Donald (Janice) Glenn, Ronald (Cindy) Glenn, Melinda (Dave) Mackay; grandchildren, Cherilyn, Sandy, Jeff, Brian, Shonn, Chris, Marcy, Ryan, Jeremy; 10 great-grandchildren; and many more who called Wanda, "Grandma".
She was born May 26, 1926 in Topeka and graduated from Lyndon High School. She was active in Home Builders Association Auxiliary, loved baking, and was a baker at Washburn Rural High School. She was also active in Kelly House and supported the Alzheimer's Association. She was a member of Seabrook and First Congregational Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Lee Rothrock, Alice Kay Smart; grandson, Brian Tharp; and son-in-law, Dave Mackay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. following the service at the Lyndon Cemetery.
