Warren L. Lloyd, 80, Maple Hill, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009.
He was born February 11, 1928 in Topeka, the son of Leo and Fay (Radford) Lloyd.
He attended Topeka High School. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on the island of Saipan.
He worked in the Automotive industry for 26 years, followed by 17 years in the Chemistry laboratory for K.D.O.T., retiring in 1990.
Warren married Marjorie Olson on November 6, 1948 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include son, Keith Lloyd and wife, Elaine, Eskridge; daughter, Patricia Brown and husband, Lincoln, Topeka; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren; and three step-great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by twins, Ralph and Ruth, and sister, Jewel Voelker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Warren will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
