Willa Lee Meiries
June 10, 1942 — February 26, 2014
Willa Lee Meiries of Axtell, Kansas, passed into the arms of Jesus on February 26, 2014, at Marysville Memorial Hospital in Marysville. She was born June 10, 1942, in Axtell, to Willis Cannon and Georgia Lee (Reed) Kenworthy. She graduated from Axtell Public Schools.
On April 23, 1963, she married Clayton Lee Meiries. He survives. Other survivors include brothers, George Cannon Kenworthy and David Willis Kenworthy, both of Axtell; and her beloved poodle, Lee.
Mrs. Meiries was cremated and at her request, no services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Dove Cremation and Funeral Service is assisting the family.
