Willa Mae (Henderson) McFreen, age 53, of Topeka, formerly of Wichita, passed away March 28, 2012. She was born on June 26, 1958 in Gay, Oklahoma to Henry Henderson and Lena Beaver King. She attended Topeka public schools including East Avondale, Eisenhower Jr. High and Highland Park High School. She married Paul McFreen. They divorced. She had been employed by the State of Kansas, Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, H & R Block, and Cardinals (ISS). She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her only child, Ellisha M. Smith of Savannah, GA; her only grandchild, Kristina R. Chandler, also of Savannah; her mother Lena Beaver-King, Topeka, KS; her father, Henry Henderson; Four sisters, Sharon Carter (W.C.Carter), Kansas City, KS, Stephanie Wyckoff, Topeka, Chee C. Henderson, Merriam, KS, Corina Henderson, Denver, CO; a brother, Tony O. Henderson, Topeka; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Henderson, Jr., her step-mother Rosalyn Henderson and her step-father Taylor King. A private memorial service was held.
