William L. Cavalieri
December 8, 1951 — January 28, 2018
William "Bill" L. Cavalieri died January 28, 2018 surrounded by loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Margaret (Weatherford) Cavalieri, and his sister, Karen.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; his children: Bill (Mandy), Carrie Calhoon, Cassie (Sam) Wagoner, and Michael; step-daughter, Liz Unrein; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters: Victoria Cavalieri, Debra (Chuck) Gillispie, Anne Cavalieri (Blackburn) and Susan Cavalieri; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill served in the US Marine Corps. from 1969 to 1973. He worked for Hopkins, IBM and the State of Kansas. He was an avid gun and knife collector. He had a protector's heart; he was involved with the neighborhood patrol and patrol of Equality House. Bill loved music and spent many years playing keyboards in various rock bands.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2PM at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517. Topeka, KS 66675 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604.
