Mr. Steps worked for the Kansas Water Resources Board from 1955 until his retirement in 1976. In 1971, he served as a member of the
Kansas State Civil Disaster Relief Team. He was a member of the Shawnee Heights Board of Education for two terms, 1969-1971. He
was a long-time member of Highland Park Methodist Church, Topeka, Kansas and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, having served as a
radar officer aboard the USS Missoula.
He was a volunteer weather observer for forty years and loved gardening.

family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
