William F. Brown

William F. "Bill" Brown, 84, Topeka, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Midland Hospice House. He was born April 7, 1925 in Clayton, NM, the son of Leo F. and Esther May Barker Brown. The family moved to Kansas when Bill was a small child. He graduated from Hoyt High School in 1942, and served in the US Navy from 1943-1946. Bill lived in Bentley, KS and worked for Beech Aircraft in Wichita, retiring after 25 years of service. He came to Topeka in 1997. He did voluntary bible studies at several nursing homes following his retirement. Survivors include his step-mother, Wanda Sieber of Valley Falls; a sister, Patricia Brown of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Jerry Brown of Overbrook and Bobby Brown of Valley Falls. Mr. Brown was cremated. No public memorial service is planned. Inurnment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley.
