William G. Lang

September 11, 1954 — October 10, 2018

William G. "Bill" Lang, 64, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at a Kansas City, Missouri hospital. He was born September 11, 1954 in Oberlin, Kansas, the son of Lavern and Betty (Meyer) Lang.

Bill graduated from Newton High School and earned a HVAC Degree from Pittsburg State University. He was employed by Estes Service and later McElroy's until retiring in 2016. Bill was an active member of the Shawnee Meadow's Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed being in the field ministry, boating, camping, traveling, hunting and spending time with his family.

Bill married Connie E. Osgood on March 31, 1978 in Topeka. She survives as well as their children, Regina (Chris) Singer of Williamsburg, Kansas, Charles (Misty) Lang of Topeka, six grandchildren, Jacob, Brayden, Elizabeth, Dom, Skyler and Makaya and his siblings, Jeanna (Rick) Nicol of Topeka, Tony (Mona Lisa) Lang of Topeka and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; father, Lavern; and younger brother, Roger.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Shawnee Room at the Capital Plaza Hotel & Convention Center. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
