William R. Mattingly, 81 of Topeka, passed away at the Hospice House at Midland Care on October 8, 2016. He was born November 22, 1934 in Washington, Indiana, the son of William and Anna Mattingly.
Bill worked for Davis Fence and Kent Fence until his retirement. His favorite hobbies included oil painting, fishing and reading.
Bill married Theresa Rice on May 23, 1958. She survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Cheryl Morris (Lyle); son, Jeffrey Mattingly (Maria) of Phoenix, AZ; 2 grandsons, Steven and Robert Mattingly; 4 great-grandchildren, James, Kenna, Catherine and Taylor Mattingly; 3 brothers, James (Kay) Dick, and Elvin (Karen), and 3 sisters, Rita (Al), Martha (Don), and Helen (Ronnie); 1 sister-in-law Janet Keesler.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Mary.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Southwest Christian Church at 5747 SW Huntoon in Topeka.
