William E. McChristion

Topeka

William E. McChristion, 88, of Topeka, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born November 11, 1936 in Winona, Mississippi, the son of Ethel McChristion Vaughn.

William attended Winona Public Schools. He was an Air Force Veteran. William was employed by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of the USW Local 307. 

William married Ruby J. Beaver. She survives. Other survivors include children, Bruce Scott of Topeka, Christy (Everett) Bruner of Topeka, Keith McChristion of LaVonia, Michigan, Kelvin McChristion of Topeka, Eric McChristion of Kansas City, Missouri, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, his sister, Yvonne (Calvin) Cunning of Clinton, Mississippi and a host of extended family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Naketa "Nicky" (Grandpa's Sweetie) McChristion on February 21, 2021, his grandson, Kenneth "Leray" Vetaw on August 19, 2017 and his great-granddaughter, SeAsia Bruner on September 29, 2014.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. William will lie in state from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
