William Albert Morris

November 30, 1931 — July 12, 2020

William Albert "Bill" Morris, 88, Tecumseh, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.

He was born November 30, 1931 in Tecumseh, Kansas the son of Robert Oscar and Mary Jessie (Hann) Morris. He graduated from Highland Park High School.

Bill was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Bill worked at Seaboard/Cargill retiring as supervisor after over 40 years of service.

He was a member of the V.F.W., Ravenwood Lodge and Cokeley Farms Hunting.

On June 23, 1951 he married Helen Wettengel at Tecumseh United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister.

Survivors include four children, Michael (Deborah) Morris, David (Sheryl) Morris, Steven Morris, and Debra Morris (Mark Wulff); six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, and horse enthusiast.

Graveside services will be 10am Friday, July 17, 2020 at Bethel Cemetery, 3200 Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota, Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
