William D. Rader

September 20, 1956 — October 24, 2016

William D. "Bill" Rader, 60, of Auburn, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Midland Hospice in Topeka.

He was born September 20, 1956 in Topeka, the son of Harry and Mary (Long) Rader.

Bill attended Washburn-Auburn public schools. After high school he began his career as a dry wall installer.

He loved fishing and to throw horse shoes. Bill was also known for his "green thumb" and his ability to repair cars. Friends and family were always the most important parts of his life.

Bill was married and divorced several times.

Survivors include two daughters, Tonya and Amy; a son, Austin Rader of Auburn; three brothers, Mike, Jeff and Doug;13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cheri Nelson.

Bill will lie in state and the family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 S.W. Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66610. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 3 at Auburn Cemetery, 8820 SW 85th Street, Auburn, KS 66402.

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
